Selecting an appropriate rules-based engine requires balancing many different, and often, not well-understood properties such as business rules representation methods, rule history and life cycle management, and interoperability with external data sources.

The Handbook of Research on Emerging Rule-Based Languages and Technologies: Open Solutions and Approaches provides a comprehensive collection of state-of-the-art advancements in rule languages, containing methodologies for building rule-based applications, rule interoperability and interchange, and rule-based applications. The service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach offers many promises for the development of high-quality Health Information Systems (HISs) that utilize information such as Electronic Health Records (EHRs) from different parties. However, extreme privacy preservation requirements and the variety of deployment systems make development of HISs particularly challenging. To support HIS developers, we propose effective mechanisms and tools to become part of the development process. We use model-driven engineering to switch the focus of the developers from technologies used for implementing SOA to domain specific concepts of the HISs under study. Our approach relies on a modeling framework based on Web rules, which allows us to represent business processes and policies of service-oriented HISs in a unified rule framework. The framework supports development of tools for a formal analysis of existing services and their policies by using rule-based reasoning engines (e.g., HP’s Jena). The tools that we are developing can identify inconsistencies between Web services from different parties, propose solutions for mismatched policies, and verify security and privacy requirements of service-oriented HISs.

Zoroastrian Youth is a group of enthusiastic youths who are endeavoring to gather Zoroastrian Youths of British Columbia together for great events and activities.

The website is based on PHP and MySQL. The engine running the website is Wordpress. It features a picture gallery, event calendar (based on google calendar), integration with twitter, subscription options and various ways of being in touch with this organization.

The design of the website was done by “Mani R.M” and the web programming was done by me. It features google-based email and uses a nice calendar plugin. The coding was done in PHP and uses MySQL database and the famous wordpress engine.

Once contacted by the president of UBCPC I accepted the honour to help them make a website for them. As of now that you can see the UBC Persian Club is running and is based on one of the most famous website engines (WP), it also features a great gallery plugin as long as the as much compatibility with the ubc theme itself.

The website as now is based on Wordpress and got transferred from the previous version of website which was based on cpgnuke. The current version of the website features gmail based emails, nextGen gallery (a WP plugin) and much more.
The design of the website is done with the help of president and webmaster of UBC Persian club in the 2007-08 year, Thanks a lot to them for their help and effort.

The theme is a modified version of one popular theme of wordpress which is by RDN and justified to the needs of a Persian society requirements.

Cafe Radio

Cafe Radio mail is powered by google application so the administrator(s) of this radio is/are capable of having a Gmail based mail, chatting with the visitors via Gtalk interface and share a google calendar, etc (for more info about google aps please refer to this page)
